Tyrannical night obscures her heart
Taunting her with the darkness’ veil
Wayward winds that wander at will
Wail at her ears, lost in their ways
Pinpricks of this fierce icy rain
Needle her like a stranger’s touch
Undaunted yet by all these travails
Sea awaits the dawn to reclaim her Sun!
Ashok Krishna
Stung so very sharply
By flashes of pain
Grimacing in voices
Of gruff thunders
Shedding an abundance
Of silvery tears
Sky throbbed in labor
Struggling all night
And, out came a new Sun
Swaddled in grey!
Ashok Krishna
